The Bertarelli family always try to enjoy what they do by combining their passions with their professional activities or by setting up ventures that allow them to express this willingness.

Since childhood Ernesto and Dona have been avid sailors. They have sailed in many competitions on open sea and on Lake Geneva. Ernesto founded Alinghi, which won the America’s Cup in 2003 in New Zealand, bringing it back to Europe for the first time. The team repeated their success in 2007 in Spain.

Dona runs the successful Ladycat sailing team. Her dedication is also in the hospitality industry -she owns the Grand Hotel Park in Gstaad- and in the world of luxury goods, cosmetics and sport. She runs the Geneva Country Club.

Kirsty’s interest is for music. Upon meeting Ernesto she wrote the song Black Coffee which was recorded by the group All Saints and became an international hit. More recently she has recorded a new album, Elusive.

Maria-Iris Bertarelli owns the Colle Massari wine estate in Italy.
