Operating since 2009, La Fondazione contributes to, and initiates projects that have a special significance for Italy’s Tuscany region, particularly those projects from the worlds of art, architecture, archaeology and restoration, music and other cultural and social fields. Maria Iris Bertarelli is the foundation’s President, while her brother Claudio Tipa is Vice-President.
La Fondazione’s many projects, all of which are listed on its website, include sponsorship of the Amiata Piano Festival, now in its eighth year, the redevelopment of the historic center of the town of Poggi del Sasso, environmental workshops with the Teatro Stabile di Grosseto and archaelogical research conducted in partnership with the University of Siena.
